In her new documentary, Waad Al-Kateab (director of the Oscar nominated For Sama) shows us the dramatic challenges faced by refugee athletes who competed for a place in the 2020 Olympic Games. Narrated in first person and often asking herself difficult questions, Al-Kateab listens to the athletes who have seen their dreams vanish and accompanies them through their suffering.

夢想未必這麼快成真，而且路程很遠，但有心人總是願意堅持前行。這一套的幕前幕後都是真正有故事的人。
导演的介入方式有点奇怪，其实介入并不是个问题，中间伊朗皮划艇选手崩溃的时候，导演在镜头外说的话，太打动人了，但开头结尾的自我表达和其他内容就很不连贯。无论如何，还是会强烈推荐这部片子，不同原因成为难民的人们，为了不同动机站在赛场上，它不断地理解他们的动机、而不仅仅是讲述他们的苦难，也许这就是身为难民的导演才会有的视角吧，不是同情弱者，而是寻找活下去的力量。
This is one bizzare film. The director appeared shortly at the beginning and then disappeared... not much narrative arc per se despite that all were preparing to compete at international games. Some threads just disappear half way. Really not well written or edited. It's a waste.
主题很好 并不是很深入的群像 但也很好了 也算是underprivileged 中的privileged 参与的意义大于一切 对这个主题其实蛮感兴趣的 另外就是体育纪录片观赏性很高
