影片功夫做的很足，采访及各个时代的影像资料都很充分。所以老建筑师们讲到哪里，就有画面跟上。配乐也很丰富，很细致，比较精确的配合画面。不过叙事太过单调，导演自己说想避免自己这个纽约视角，而是纯粹让讲述着带着走。但这种方式对我来说稍微单调了一点。导演也承认有这个可能。
